2022 was a great year! Every family, every moment captured, each wedding full of special moments. They all show lives lived with intention, moments savored, milestones celebrated, and stories told in timeless photographs that can be treasured for generations. This work is so important, and I am honored by every family that trusts me to capture these very special moments. Each session was special and unique, every story significant. Best Dressed
Coordinating outfits can be a big challenge, especially for a large family. But this family always shows up with the cutest outfits and coordinated colors. Large families are one of my favorites to photograph. The special moments to capture just keep going and going! And when this family gets together, you can just feel the love that they have for each other.
Best Reflections
Reflections are one of my favorite things to play with in photography. And this is definitely one of the best locations for getting some beautiful reflections! Check out one of the best locations in Southern Oregon at Pacifica Forest Gardens.
Best Senior Session Location
Southern Oregon is rich with beautiful locations! It can be difficult to choose a favorite for senior portraits. But the Hellgate Canyon is iconic for the area, and you just can't beat the beauty of the Rogue River combined with the rocky canyon. This spot makes for some gorgeous senior portraits!
Best Fall Leaves
The seasons fall differently every year, and it is such a joy to watch and wait for the brilliance of the fall colors that disappear almost as quickly as they appear. This year was full of beautiful fall family sessions complete with leaf piles and lots of giggles.
Most Festive
After fall is Christmas of course! These sessions are full of so much joy. There is magic in the air, and you can't help but remember images of this very special time of year through the eyes of a child.
Best Veil Shots
I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every wedding of 2022! These moments are so special. Every wedding and every couple is unique. One of my favorite parts of the day is couple portrait time. I just love creating these timeless portraits that show the couples' love for each other in an authentic and beautiful way.
Best View
This couple earned this gorgeous view with a steep hike up the mountain! But man was it worth it! You can see most of the city of Grants Pass from this lookout.
Most Gorgeous Eyes
The thing about photographing families is that you get to take portraits of kiddos with the most gorgeous eyes! The eyes just sparkle and tell so much about your child's personality.
Most Patriotic
This beautiful family was due with their baby girl right by Independence day. It was fun to capture these moments for them amongst the gorgeous red, white, and blue blooms at Blooming Beauties Nursery and Boutique.
Most Colorful
These two families stood out as the most colorful for 2022! They were both full of laughter and joy that matches the color pallet they chose for photos.
Cutest Pet
I love when people want to include their special furry friends in their photos, and this dog was no exception. Animals can really become a part of the family, and it is so fun to capture their personalities along with the rest of the family.
Best Skies
Weather is so unpredictable in Southern Oregon. You just never know exactly what you are going to get. But when the skies show up, boy do they impress! Sometimes all you have to do is look up and notice the beauty that surrounds us.
Tiniest Human
Newborn sessions are full of so many precious moments and tiny little details. It is such an honor to photograph your newest little blessing. This little girl was the tiniest and oh so precious for her in-home newborn session.
Happiest Baby
Baby Hazel definitely wins this one! Her eyes just sparkled with joy as she was surrounded by mom, dad, and both grandmas. It truly is no wonder that this little girl won the superlative award on Facebook this year! She is loved by so many and so full of joy.
Best Spring Blossoms
Spring blossoms are so much fun! And, how fitting to photograph mamas to be amongst such beauty. I just love when the trees burst forth with the beauty of new life. Those first spring blossoms are truly magical.
Most Fun In-Home Sessions
In-home sessions can be a blast! Think Saturday morning with bare feet, tickle fights, and lots of snuggles. These are some of my favorite moments from in-home sessions in 2022. I hope to do a lot more of these in 2023! Just look at that pure delight on those kiddos' faces!
Most Adventurous Family Session
Kids love to explore! Whether it's at the river or downtown, most kids are up for an adventure. And it can create the most beautiful moments. These families went right along with their kids' sense of adventure for their family sessions.
Most Adventurous Couples' Session
This couple went right along with my crazy ideas using the Caveman Bridge in Grants Pass during their downtown session, and boy did it pay off!
