Motherhood is a joy, a gift, and such an honor to behold!

This Mother's day, as I snuggle my sweet boy and try to comfort him through feverish and cough filled nights of a nasty virus, I can't help but think of my own mother and the years of comfort she gave me, as well as the countless moms I have had the honor and privilege to photograph over the last year. A mother's love is priceless! It is sacrificial. I remember many nights of the sweetest sleep after my mother tucked in my own ailing body. She would jump up without a care for herself or the lack of sleep she was suffering, just to know that she had given what love she could to her children.

This is the same type of love I have seen during family sessions. From brand new mamas soaking in every moment of the newborn life before them, to mothers of toddlers laughing at their wonder and amazement of the vast world around them, to mother's of teens truly grateful for the friendship they share with their kids, to grandmothers filled with a lifetime of love for the generations they are blessed to see.

These mothers are beautiful! Each and every one is unique, but they all share one thing in common. They love their children in every way they know how. To be able to capture these moments is a gift beyond words. To be able to meet each family is a joy. The enormity of this privilege is not lost on me.
